RIONORTE Films is a Madrid and New York based production company founded by Noelia R. Deza and Robert Kerr. The company develops and produces narrative work that explores the line between fiction and non-fiction, grounded in a commitment to naturalism and formal exploration.

RioNorte films have screened at international festivals including Málaga Film Festival, Tallinn Black Nights, Huesca International Film Festival, and the Oscar-qualifying New Hampshire Film Festival, and have received support from the New York Foundation for the Arts, SGAE, and the Sloan Foundation.

Both founders bring extensive experience across the audiovisual industry. Robert’s work as a Location Scout and Location Manager has featured in projects such as Marty SupremeThe Bride!American Horror Story, and The Watcher. Noelia recently edited Nomad Shadow, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before screening at D’A Film Festival and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

RioNorte is currently developing La Gravedad y La Gracia, a feature-length film based on the acclaimed short Ese verano nos quedamos en casa.
